Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to LaunchPad Academy. By enrolling in our tutoring services, programs, assessments, or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment for all students and families.

2. Services Provided

LaunchPad Academy provides educational support services for students in Pre-K through 12th grade, including but not limited to:

  • 1-on-1 Online Tutoring

  • 1-on-1 In-Person Tutoring

  • Online Group Tutoring

  • In-Person Group Tutoring

​

Services may be updated, modified, or discontinued at the discretion of LaunchPad Academy.

​

3. Student Assessments

All new students are required to complete a student assessment prior to beginning tutoring services.

  • Assessment Fee: $15

  • Assessment fees will be applied toward the student’s first month of tutoring if services continue.

  • Assessments help determine the best learning plan, tutoring format, and support level for the student.

4. Tuition & Payments

Monthly Tuition

Monthly tuition reserves the student’s recurring tutoring schedule and tutor availability. Tuition is based on the number of scheduled sessions occurring between the 15th of the current month and the 15th of the following month.

Payment Terms

  • Tuition payments are due on the 15th of each month for the upcoming billing period.

  • Monthly tuition reserves the student’s recurring tutoring schedule and tutor availability for the following month.

  • Failure to submit payment may result in paused or discontinued services.

  • LaunchPad Academy reserves the right to update pricing or tuition rates with prior notice.

Accepted Payments

LaunchPad Academy accepts approved electronic payment methods.

​

5. Cancellation Policy

Families wishing to discontinue tutoring services must provide a minimum 30-day written notice prior to cancellation.

Because tutoring plans reserve recurring time slots and tutor availability, tuition payments made during the notice period remain non-refundable. Tutoring sessions will continue as scheduled throughout the 30-day notice period.

6. Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

Rescheduling Sessions

Families must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule a tutoring session by cancelling the session on their portal and calling or emailing LaunchPad Academy to schedule a makeup day.

​

Missed Sessions & No-Shows

Students who miss scheduled sessions without proper notice may forfeit the session. Makeup sessions are not guaranteed for missed sessions or no-shows.

​

LaunchPad Academy reserves the right to determine makeup session eligibility.

​

7. Refund Policy

Due to reserved scheduling and tutor availability, prepaid tuition, completed sessions, and assessment fees are non-refundable.

8. Online Tutoring Requirements

Students participating in online tutoring are responsible for:

  • Maintaining a stable internet connection

  • Having access to a computer, laptop, or tablet

  • Having working audio and video capabilities

  • Joining sessions on time

  • Participating respectfully during sessions

​

LaunchPad Academy is not responsible for technical issues outside of its control.

​

9. In-Person Tutoring

For in-person tutoring services:

  • Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared.

  • In-person tutoring sessions are conducted at approved tutoring locations designated by LaunchPad Academy.

  • Students are expected to participate respectfully and follow all learning environment expectations during sessions.

  • LaunchPad Academy reserves the right to discontinue in-person services if safety concerns arise.

10. Student Conduct

Students are expected to participate respectfully during tutoring sessions.

Disruptive, inappropriate, threatening, or unsafe behavior may result in:

  • Session removal

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent dismissal from services

​

No refunds will be issued for dismissals related to misconduct.

​

11. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and guardians agree to:

  • Provide accurate student information

  • Communicate scheduling conflicts promptly

  • Support student attendance and participation

  • Maintain respectful communication with staff and tutors

  • Review program expectations and policies

12. Tutor Assignments

LaunchPad Academy matches students with tutors based on:

  • Academic needs

  • Grade level

  • Learning style

  • Tutor availability

​

Tutor assignments may change when necessary.

​

13. Academic Results Disclaimer

While LaunchPad Academy strives to support academic growth and student success, individual results may vary. We do not guarantee specific grades, test scores, admissions outcomes, or academic achievements.

​

Student progress depends on factors including participation, attendance, effort, school curriculum, and consistency.

​

14. Financial Assistance Program

LaunchPad Academy may offer limited financial assistance opportunities to qualifying families.

  • Assistance is not guaranteed.

  • Assistance amounts may vary.

  • Applications are reviewed confidentially.

  • Additional information may be requested during the review process.

LaunchPad Academy reserves the right to approve, deny, or discontinue assistance at its discretion.

​

15. Media & Marketing Consent

LaunchPad Academy may occasionally use photos, videos, testimonials, or student work for educational, promotional, or marketing purposes.

​

Online tutoring sessions conducted through Lessonspace or other approved platforms may also be recorded for educational quality assurance, tutor training, student progress review, safety, and operational purposes.

​

By participating in tutoring services, families acknowledge and consent to the recording of online sessions unless otherwise prohibited by law.

​

Families may opt out of promotional media usage by providing written notice. However, operational lesson recordings used for educational and quality assurance purposes may still be maintained by LaunchPad Academy.

​

16. Privacy & Confidentiality

LaunchPad Academy values student and family privacy.

​

Personal information collected during enrollment, assessments, or tutoring services will be used solely for educational and operational purposes and will not be sold or shared without consent unless required by law.

​

17. Website Usage

By using the LaunchPad Academy website, users agree not to:

  • Misuse website content

  • Attempt unauthorized access

  • Use website materials for unlawful purposes

  • Disrupt website functionality

​

All website content, branding, graphics, and educational materials remain the property of LaunchPad Academy.

​

18. Changes to Terms & Conditions

LaunchPad Academy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation in services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
